What WRENSONGE bedding is made of, how it is sewn, and which claims are certified rather than promised.
Every comforter, quilt and sheet in the Wrensonge bedding catalogue is cut from brushed polyester microfiber. It is not a compromise fabric here: microfiber is what lets a full seven-piece set stay light enough for a 65–68°F bedroom, wash at home without a laundromat machine, and hold its colour through years of cycles. The brand prewashes the finished fabric at the factory, stripping the sizing stiffness that new bedding usually carries. That is the reason night one feels like night thirty.
The knitted throws use a different construction from the beds: a feather yarn whose high fiber density and large surface area trap warm air at a light weight. The checkered pattern is knitted in, not printed on, so both faces are finished. The chunky line is hand-knitted cable rope, 100% handmade, in 40″ × 40″ and 50″ × 60″ cuts.
The microfiber carries OEKO-TEX Standard 100 certification. In the standard's own words, that means every thread, button and accessory has been tested against a list of over 1,000 harmful substances, and the certified article is harmless to human health. Comforters are box-stitched: the fill is sewn into closed cells so it cannot migrate to the corners or leak at the seams. Quilts use a square stitching pattern chosen to avoid thread breakage across the spread, and every edge in the quilt line is reinforced with corded piping: the first seam to fail on cheap bedding is the edge, so ours is doubled. Sets are cut from a single dye lot, so the shams match the comforter instead of nearly matching it.
Machine wash cold on a gentle cycle, tumble dry low, skip bleach and iron. Independent sleep guidance puts sheets at a weekly wash and comforters at every 2–3 months, using the warmest water the label allows — for polyester that is warm, not hot.
